The announcements were made during the ATC Gold Conference in Glasgow on 22 October, which brought together professionals from across the language services sector to celebrate the Association’s 50th anniversary.
The recognition comes as Wolfestone celebrates its 20th anniversary and adds to Wolfestone’s growing list of industry achievements.
The Eichner Award for Outstanding Service honours individuals whose extraordinary contributions extend beyond their own businesses, acknowledging their commitment to supporting the wider language services industry and helping to advance its development.
Alongside his award, Roy Allkin hosted the conference panel A Lasting Legacy: ATC Past, Present and Future, exploring the ATC’s journey over the past 50 years and its focus on shaping the future of the industry. His contribution also addressed the changes facing language service companies as technology continues to develop, exploring the importance of human professionals.
Commenting on the recognition, Roy Allkin, Founder of Wolfestone Group, said:
“We are incredibly proud to be commended as Company of the Year, particularly as Wolfestone celebrates its 20th anniversary. Receiving the Eichner Award for Outstanding Service is also a real honour, especially having been involved with the ATC and the wider language services industry for so many years.
Looking ahead, I believe the industry has an opportunity to adapt to the changes AI is bringing while continuing to deliver the quality and expertise clients expect. Since founding Wolfestone in 2006, I’ve seen the industry change considerably, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it continues to evolve over the next few years.”
Caitlin Glover, Multimedia and Translation Project Manager at Wolfestone's sister company, VoiceBox, was shortlisted for Young Professional of the Year, recognising her incredible contribution to the accessibility and media services sector.
